My name is Mr. Keshawn D. Williams. I am excited to begin my second year as assistant band director/percussion director at Brookhaven High School. Also, I assist with the 7th and 8th grade bands at Alexander Junior High School. This is my 5th year as a music educator. I spent my first three years at Terry High School as assistant director/percussion director, also assisting with the Gary Road Intermediate and Byram Middle School band programs.

My wife, Amber, and I are natives of Hazlehurst, MS. We have one daughter, Galina Williams. I am a proud Alumnus of Mississippi College with a Bachelor’s degree in Arts in music, and I am currently seeking a Master of Arts degree in Music Education/Music Studies from Liberty University. As a percussion instructor, I have worked with, taught, and composed/arranged percussion music for various band programs throughout the state of Mississippi and Memphis, TN for the last 15 years.

I have percussive composing/arranging credits with different public institutions, and now I am the composer of the GSG National Anthem for my fraternity. I am a proud brother of Gamma Sigma Gamma Fraternity Incorporated, a member of the Magnolia Band Directors’ Association, and now serving as the 2nd Vice President for the Southwest Mississippi Band Directors’ Association. I am looking forward to continuing the wonderful efforts to create a positive environment that allows all students to be successful.

In his duties as Assistant Band Director and Percussion Director, Mr. Williams instructs all percussionists in the Ole Brook Bands program, assists with the Pride of Ole Brook Marching Band, and directs both the Brookhaven Concert Band and Smooth Panther Experience Percussion Ensemble.
