Established in 2025, the Sound of Sinclair is the official pep band for the Brookhaven High School Panthers and Lady Panthers basketball teams. The group performs at as many home games as possible, helping to provide that electric feeling that fills James A. Sinclair Gynasium every time our team hits the court. Our job is to hype up the players and crowd as well as showcase our talents during timeouts, quarter breaks, and in between games

We are proud to say that the Sound of Sinclair is a unique ensemble as we are one of the very few high school basketball pep bands in the state of Mississippi. Our group is comprised of wind instrument players, accessory percussionists, a drum set player, our drum major and, occasionally, dancers. At the games, you can catch us playing your favorite stand tunes that you hear at King Field during football season.

The Sound of Sinclair is a volunteer-based ensemble; students do not have to participate if they do not wish to do so. However, the majority of our wind instrument students participate because they love it so much! While the 2025-2026 season is starting to wrap up, we hope we can continue to support the Panthers and Lady Panthers into the postseason and keep performing for audiences all the way to the State Championship.

The ensemble is under the direction of James Green, Director of Bands. He is assisted by Nick Kleppinger, Assistant Band Director, who you can often find tearing it up on the drums.
